At Big Heart Homes Inc., we believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and nurturing place to grow. Our family-style group homes provide children and youth with stability, care, and connection — helping them build the foundation they need to thrive.

With four homes located in welcoming neighbourhoods, we focus on creating a sense of family, belonging, and community. Our dedicated team provides consistent care, meaningful routines, and opportunities for each child to develop life skills, confidence, and independence — while celebrating their unique background and culture.

Who we are

Big Heart Homes Inc is a fee for service agency based in Edmonton, Alberta set to provide quality services to First Nations, Metis, Inuit and other communities’ children, youth and families.

We accept referrals throughout Western and Northern Canada for children and youth ages 5-22 years in need of support. Especially those who are experiencing developmental, emotional issues, abandonment, abuse, mental health concerns and addictions, etc.

Big Heart Homes Inc. was founded on the belief that love, understanding, and structure can make all the difference in a child’s life. We are more than a home — we are a family.

Each of our four homes provides a warm, inclusive environment where children can feel safe, supported, and valued. Our team members are carefully chosen for their compassion, professionalism, and dedication to creating positive change in the lives of young people.

We work closely with families, community members, and cultural supports to ensure each child feels connected to their roots and empowered to build a bright future.

Big Heart Homes Inc. operates four homes, each designed to feel like a true family environment.

Transport Services

We understand that getting to and from school, appointments, or family visits can be a challenge. That’s why we offer safe, reliable transportation for children and youth in our care.

Supervised Visits

Family connection is essential to a child’s emotional and cultural well-being. Our supervised visitation services provide a safe, supportive space for children to spend meaningful time with their families while maintaining healthy boundaries.
